AB_garden_center-logo-4400American Beauty Garden Center, a retail garden center specializing in all aspects of sustainable indoor and outdoor gardening including nutrients, lighting, hydroponics and filtration recently opened a new store at 4400 Independence Blvd. A grand opening is scheduled for July but they’re already welcoming customers in the new spot. American Beauty Garden Center was previously located in the heart of Plaza Midwood next to Fern. However, the nearby construction limited parking. Increased demand for retail space in Plaza Midwood is driving rent higher. Businesses with roots in east Charlotte continue to find opportunities to grow their businesses on this side of the city.

The new location has great visibility from Independence Blvd where more than 70,000 cars pass by each day. It also features abundant parking and a customer loading area. The owners report that the new layout of the store is more convenient to shop.

AB2East Charlotte’s eclectic mix of neighborhoods drive demand for shops like American Beauty Garden Center. Many people are choosing to enhance their their property by planting edible plants and vegetable gardens. Several restaurants in the area feature small gardens where they’re able to grow some hyper-local ingredients. The slow food and local food movements are supporting American Beauty Garden Center and other east Charlotte enterprises.

Visit American Beauty Garden Center at their new location and tell them you read about them on Charlotteeast.com! Connect with them on the web and visit their Facebook page.
