An Evening of Charlotte Film at the Charlotte Museum of History

The Charlotte Museum of History will host an evening of short films directed by local artists. Notable films from the 2014 and 2015 Charlotte 48 Hour Film Project (www.48hourfilm.com/charlotte-nc) will be screened and the films’ directors will be on hand for Q&A. The event will begin at 7:30 pm with beer, wine and hor d’oeuvres, followed by the screening of the films.
Open to the public. Donations are requested. All proceeds will be split between the Museum and Studio 345 (www.asceducation.org/studio-345).
Preregistration is required.

The Grove Park/Ravenwood Garden & Art Tour is May 15 starting at 1pm. Begin at the Triangle (Terry Lane and Linda Lake Dr.) where you will find artists, vendors, and maps of the many homes that are on the tour. Take a minute to shop, maybe find a few plants at our plant sale, or items for your home, then set out to be welcomed by neighbors to their private gardens. In honor of Public Broadcasting System’s (PBS) premiere of Ken Burns’ new documentary “Jackie Robinson” on April 11 and 12, WTVI PBS Charlotte will host a panel discussion with former Negro League baseball players, as well as a screening of the new film, on April 4 at its studio.
