Art has a home in east Charlotte at Clayworks, a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of ceramic arts, advancement of artists and students, and enrichment of our community. Clayworks is located on Monroe Road in east Charlotte’s Oakhurst neighborhood. I took classes for 9 months this year. Not only did I learn a lot about pottery, I learned a lot about myself!
You can help support Clayworks by attending An Evening of Earth and Fire this Saturday, November 14, 2015. The event will be held at at Elder Gallery, 1520 South Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC. The evening will feature a silent auction and raffle with works from some of North Carolina’s finest ceramic artists. In addition to Clayworks talented instructors and studio artists, we are pleased to include work from special guest ceramic artists. The silent auction will end at 7:00 pm.
