East Charlotte Candidate Forum Oct 8, 2015
WHAT: East Charlotte Forum, our opportunity to hear what at-large City Council and mayoral candidates say about issues directly affecting our neighborhoods.
WHEN: Thursday, Oct. 8, 6-9 p.m. Doors open for meet-and-greet at 6. Mayoral candidates take the podium at approximately 6:20; at-large candidates for City Council at 7:30 p.m.
WHERE: Johnston Hall, at Amity Presbyterian Church ‑ North Sharon Amity Road, between Independence Boulevard and Albemarle Road.
IN A NUTSHELL: In the fall of 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013, the East Charlotte Forum was held at Amity Presbyterian Church for at-large City Council candidates and mayoral candidates. They were given equal time to respond to a number of questions, selected in advance, dealing with issues and opportunities in our part of town.
As in past years, Steamer’s Sports Pub – at Pierson Drive and Albemarle Road, just doors from Amity Presbyterian – is graciously sponsoring a post-forum reception starting at 9 p.m. (complimentary hors d’oeuvres; cash bar).
