The Charlotte Business Journal reports that Midwood Smokehouse will soon open a third location. This time, they’re looking far from their home base in Charlotte’s Plaza Midwood neighborhood to Columbia, SC.
From the article:
The original Midwood Smokehouse opened in Plaza-Midwood in 2011. Its menu features hand-pulled pork and chicken as well as brisket, ribs, sandwiches and burgers, plus side items such as mac-and-cheese and BBQ baked beans, and for dessert, peach cobbler and banana pudding.
East Charlotte has historically been a great place to start a business with many of the area’s biggest business names tracing their beginnings to Central Ave. These include Harris Teeter and Family Dollar. More recently, Midwood Smokehouse and other local businesses have found successful beginnings in east Charlotte.
